Getting Over the Hump

We can all guess what day it is. . .BLEH! It's been getting a little harder and harder to wake up and get myself to school. It's a tough job . . . but somebody's gotta do it!

So what can we do to get over the slump. . . Here's what I do. . .

1) BUST out new incentives. The kids are off the CHAIN folks so you need to up the ante. You gotta find stickers from the latest hit kiddie movie. You gotta download that latest hit song they're all about and promise a brain break with it IF they behave. Whatever their price. . . find it. . . because it's time to change it up. I like to raffle off a must have item and the only way kiddies can earn tickets for the raffle is good behavior.

2) Laughter is the BEST medicine. This time of year the littles have Spring FEVA and there's so much testing going on. Dig deep folks and find reasons to laugh with your crew. It's the best medicine for tough testing days and for the days you can't beat 'em. . .Join 'em! I enjoy sharing a Joke of the Day after lunch.

3) BEAUTIFY your life. The great thing about this time of year is that the littles have improved in their crafting skills and they can make more class crafts with less help and more success. Take time to make projects with your littles as a destressor for you and as an incentive for them for finishing their work on time. So many themes this time of year lend themselves to simple crafts.

Share how you get over the hump! I'd love to hear new ideas!
